This weekend sees the semi-finals of rugby union’s European Champions Cup, with holders Saracens facing a tough tie against Munster at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
Saracens have guaranteed their place in the Premiership semi-finals after a run of four straight wins, but they are still battling to secure home advantage. They scored a convincing win over Glasgow in the quarter-finals of this competition and, like Munster, convincingly won their pool.
The Irish province have been flying since Xmas, winning 13 of their last 14 matches in all competitions and they sit two points behind the leaders Leinster at the top of the Pro 12.
There are some discrepancies in the match betting, with Sarries priced as short as 8/15 – but as big as 8/11 with Betfred. Munster meanwhile are 5/4 in places, but a best of 6/4 at Unibet – who are offering them with a three-point handicap at 10/11.
Clermont have been vulnerable of late, losing four of their last six games in the Top 14 to fall well behind leaders La Rochelle. Unbeaten in 12 games since New Year’s Eve, Leinster appear to have a great chance despite having to travel to France.
